Seymour Chwast

This typographic mini-series pays homage to renowned graphic designer and activist Seymour Chwast, often called The Left-Handed Designer. Known for using bold type and visual wit to comment on social issues, Chwast famously designed posters declaring “Guns Kill Kids.” My two posters reference these themes directly: one reinterprets the "Guns Kill Kids" message using his own typeface "Bestial Bold", while the other integrates a variety of fonts he designed imposed onto the shape of a left hand, both a visual pun and a nod to his enduring legacy.
